The Duosonic was introduced mid-'56 alongside the Musicmaster - the only difference being an additional bridge pickup in the Duosonic. As student models of the time they were shorter in scale (22 1/2") and lower spec'd than other Fender models of the period. However they still retain the same quality of woods and build of higher spec guitars and as a result offer fantastic vintage value today. This 1961 example features a slab Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, 'clay' dot inlays, 3 threaded saddle bridge, single-ply plastic guard, Maple neck and Kluson deluxe tuners. Very similar to the other 1960 example we currently have in store this instrument is versatile and very playable with a shallow 60 neck profile. Besides some minor pick wear and edgewear mainly to the lower side this Duosonic is in excellent overall condition with a very attractive Maroon burst finish. 100% original complete with original hard shell case.
