Summary

The student model Musicmaster was introduced in 1956 as fender's most affordable option. Features include a 22 1/2" scale, single slant-mounted plastic covered pickup at the neck, volume and tone controls, 3 saddle bridge, anodized aluminium guard, Maple neck, 21 frets and a desert sand finish. They moved to slab Brazilian Rosewood boards in '59 along with a plastic pick guard to replace the ano guards.

This example has a narrow D profile neck, veneer Brazilian Rosewood board, shows overall wear having been a working instrument, but is in good condition for it's year. These guitars represent excellent value for money in the vintage market given the build quality, choice of woods and craftsmanship of Fender at the time. Complete with original hard shell case.
