Model Overview:
Introduced as Gibson’s second square-shouldered dreadnought after the Hummingbird, the intricate detailing has made the Dove one of Gibson's most iconic guitars. A luxuriant flat-top, 16 1/4” wide, the Dove is set apart from the Hummingbird by it’s longer scale (25 1/2”) and maple back and sides. Other features include a Spruce top, tune-o-matic bridge with abstract dove inlays on the bridge ends, 3-point pickguard with Dove detailing, bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl double-parallelogram inlays and waffle back tuners. This 1965 example is incredibly characterful; with lacquer crazing to the top and distinctive play wear it’s evident that this guitar has been played extensively over it’s life. It’s all original and includes a modern hardshell case. A very resonant, superb sounding Gibson with excellent sustain and nicely balanced tone.

Lacquer crazing to the top, pick wear around the soundhole, buckle rash on the back.
Hole from where a jack input has been installed on the bottom right side.
Binding is in ok condition asides from a small gap near the neck join and minor binding separation near the nut on the treble side.
All original.
Nut width: 1 11/16”
Includes modern hardshell case.
